Welcome to the Vehikel website.

Vehikel is a small-scale enterprise that organises Classic Car & Motorcycle shows since 1981. At the time we travelled all over Europe participating in all kinds of "classic" events, thinking up Vehikel with the prank "let's organize one ourselves so we can be home at least one weekend a year".

After some years of plenty of fun and mistakes Vehikel started to pick up speed, particularly after our move from wacky halls to the Royal Dutch Fairs. A culture shock to both parties, this nevertheless worked out quite well. Around 1990 Vehikel had arrived at a size which made it very hard for me to do Vehikel, practice my job at the University of Utrecht and also find time for other essentials of life. After I quit from my legal profession Vehikel really snowballed for some years to it's present size and also grew more professional, more of a business too.

However, I still feel that Vehikel, if compared with other similar events of it' size, still stands out for it's unique atmosphere. You will feel it when visiting: people are not here for business but for fun, they have been anticipating this for weeks, meet friends instead of customers, are certain to find their bargains, in short are enjoying themselves immensely.

Vehikel is one of the biggest shows in Europe. Comparison is difficult because of differences (inside or outside, new exhibits allowed or not) but any list of the five biggest will contain Vehikel. And it is our job to keep it like that, while preserving the aura.

VEHIKEL'S in- and outdoors, Wall of Death!

The next (60th!) edition of the VEHIKEL SHOW and JUMBLE will be held on August 24-25-26, 2007. This August-edition is in- as well as outdoors, showpiece outdoors is a Wall of Death with Indisn motorcycles from the '20's. Open on Friday 14.00-20.00, sat/sun 10.00-17.00 hrs. Gatefee € 11,-.
